Unless I am losing my marbles, changing tab view causes a save. So I can go in, alter something badly, switch view, cancel, and still get my mistake persisted.
Is this right?

From usability point of view is not nice. Not sure why is not saved in the session only, maybe other people can give more feedback about this so can be changed if possible.
