[GeoNetwork-users] 2.6.1 Geoserver : adding layer to mapsearch

Hi list !
I hope I'm not posting too much on this list !
I need to add a WMS layer to the mapSearch. For the moment, I am developping
with the out-of-the-box package (Jetty and all) on Windows but later this
will be put onto a Linux - Tomcat server with a postgres DB.
What are the settings I need to do for my layers to appear ?

Hi Tim

Check in the file web/geonetwork/WEB-INF/config-gui.xml

It contains a section mapSearch with the layers to display, you can change
to use your own layers. The syntax for options and params values is the same
as used in OpenLayers.

In 2.6.x, go to the GeoServer admin page at http://localhost:8080/geoserver

In future release (available in trunk), you'll also be able to publish
data from GeoNetwork to GeoServer :
http://geonetwork-opensource.org/manuals/trunk/users/quickstartguide/new_metadata/index.html#publish-uploaded-data-as-wms-wfs-in-geoserver
http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/wiki/GeoServer_integration

Cheers.
