[GeoNetwork-users] Article Request

Hello,

I run the GeoWebGuru.com website. Launched earlier this year, this is
intended as a community website for the geospatial web, and is aimed at all
levels from beginner to advanced.

Amongst the technical how-to articles, book reviews, etc I've also been
publishing some "Technical Overviews". These are intended as an introduction
to a particular technology or service: what it is for, what are its
capabilities, perhaps even a simple example of its use.

Would someone like to write such an overview of GeoNetwork opensource, or
perhaps already have a similar article with suitable permissions that I
could republish? I have seen some of the brochure information on the
geonetwork-opensource.org website. Some of this could be useful, but I think
it would help if there was a description of a real deployment that
illustrates how it is used and how it is useful.

I would also welcome more in-depth descriptions, how-tos, etc but I think a
Technical Overview should be published first.

I am afraid I cannot pay for an article, but I can give full credit and a
short bio note of a few sentences and a web link or two. This could be good
publicity for a consultant for instance. I might be able to do more for a
series of articles published over a few months, say.

Best regards,

Richard Marsden
