Hi,
I'm using the GeoNetwork admin interface to batch import xml files. That
interface doesn't have any option for thumbnails, so right now I need to
look at each of my imported data, get their GeoNetwork ID and then move the
thumbnails to the appropriate locations on our server.
Does anybody know how to get the GeoNetwork ID in a programmatic way so that
we can automatically move the thumbnails in the appropriate folder after the
batch import?
Thanks,
Soazig

Isn't it so that you should then use the EMF format (Exported from GAST).
But I did not get it working a couple of weeks ago, see another discussion
http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/How-to-upgrade-easily-to-new-version-td4979974.html#a4979974.
Even getting the Site ID did not work out. When I managed to get a few EMFs
created (was it by using keywords), they were so small that no PNG can have
been embedded in them. And the EMF filenames did not match with the UUIDs.

Hi Arto,
Thanks for your answer. What are the command lines to run the batch import
programmatically (using XML or MEF file)? How do you then extract the GN ID
number of all created entries (maybe with a mapping to the corresponding
UUIDs)?
Thanks,
Soazig

I don't know. I have not used any GN command lines. And as I said, I failed
to export EMF even from the GUI. Never tried importing EMF elsewhere, then.
There may be a possibility that the EMF is just linking to the images once
they are on the same computer. But then I think sending the EMFs including
images would not work...
