Hi All,
Thanks to Simon P. I'm getting close. I can now edit the metadata
records and add a WMS entry. Unfortunately when I try to connect to the
WMS I get the following error:
"There was an error connecting to the Web Map Service, please check the
URL"
The URL is: http://www.indexgeo.com.au/cgi-bin/wms-location
and I can get valid content from it using the URL:
http://www.indexgeo.com.au/cgi-bin/wms-location?request=GetCapabilities
The WMS service is version 1.1.0.
My XML entry in the metadata record is:
<gmd:MD_Distribution>
<gmd:distributionFormat>
<gmd:MD_Format>
<gmd:name>
<gco:CharacterString>GIF images.</gco:CharacterString>
</gmd:name>
<gmd:version>
<gco:CharacterString>none</gco:CharacterString>
</gmd:version>
</gmd:MD_Format>
</gmd:distributionFormat>

<gmd:CI_OnlineResource>
<gmd:linkage>

</gmd:linkage>

</gmd:transferOptions>
</gmd:MD_Distribution>
The entry in the catalogue.out file is:

Has anybody seen anything like this before? Does anyone know how I can
fix this error?
Thanks.

Hi Simon,
Thanks so much for your prompt reply. Yes, the metadata is in the old
ANZLIC "anzmeta" XML format. I will apply an XSL when I harvest to see
it this fixes the problem.
Thanks.
