[GeoNetwork-users] Carriage Returns in Text Boxes

Hello,

I'm entering metadata using the iso19139 standard. I would like to use carriage returns in the abstract, purpose etc text boxes to make my entries easier to read. When I do this (using the ENTER key), it is not saved when I view the record.

Is doing this possible

Thanks in kind

Which version of Geonetwork are you using?

Version 2.2 and earlier have this problem, but 2.4.1 (the latest) does display the Return character (as a <br> in HTML).

I'm working on a solution that will also preserve other whitespace, such as indents and tables (assuming fixed-width fonts). Perhaps I should make this a formal proposal to the developers list...
