Dear all,
I have some questions I encountered with my test installation of GN 2.6
on Ubuntu with PostgreSQL as DB:
1) I changed the tables "regions" and "regionsdes" from world countries
to administration areas (districts of Germany, France and Switzerland).
After that I created some metadata with very little bounding boxes (less
than 0.1 degrees) in order to test the search functions with the new
regions. However, these small areas are not shown in the search results,
although they should. Also some of the advanced search options (e.g.
search type "is fully outside of") don't seem to work correctly. Do I
have to make any additional changes in Lucene?
2) In addition to the default of WGS84, I would like to add two or three
coordinate reference systems to the OpenLayers viewer of GN. Does anyone
know how to do this in GN/GeoServer? All I found out so far, is that it
is not sufficient to simply add a EPSG code in the config-gui.xml, as
this only adds to the drop-down menu of OL.
3) Would it be much work to change the interface of GN in the way that
the OpenLayers viewer appears in a new browser window?
Thanks for any help in advance!
Heiko

If you're using 2.6.0 the search is done using lucene bbox fields adding
+1/-1 degree in queries. This makes searches in small areas not working ok.
In 2.6.1 was changed to use the bbox spatial index in queries (same as in
CSW queries) and should be working ok, unless a bug.

When changed the projection in the combo, the layers should be reprojected.
I had issues with some projections, pending to check.

Possibly the main problem can be to modify the Interactive map button to
communicate with the new window. Another option can be show the map in an
ExtJS window. This probably requires less changes I hope.
Thanks for any help in advance!
