Hi,
I try to connect our GeoNetwork 2.10 installation (running on a windows server with IIS7) with EndNote (on Win7). Such a connection would be a really useful feature.
In GeoNetwork the z39.50 server is enabled and the xercesImpl.jar copied to Tomcat's webapps/geonetwork/WEB-INF/lib, according to the documentation here: http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/wiki/HowToRunUnderTomcat
I downloaded the GeoNetwork EndNote connection file from here http://endnote.com/downloads/connection/open-source-geospatial-foundation
and adjusted the connection parameter as far as I could. (I used default Record Syntax (XML), Element set (F), and encoding (ANSEL) in the EndNote connection file. I also double checked server address and port (2100), as well as username and password.
However, in EndNote (on Win7) I get a Windows error: 12512 "Invalid server response"
My question is: Did anybody here manage to connect GeoNetworks z39.50 Server and EndNote and could share her/his experience?
In my case the issue may be caused by either a misconfigured server, client or network, which makes it hard to troubleshoot...
I also tried yaz-client from an Ubuntu box to see if the error is related to my Win7 computer. With yaz-client I seem to manage to contact the server, but I have the same problems as described here: https://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/ticket/911…
Any help or pointers would be very much appreciated...
Kind regards
Stefan
