[GeoNetwork-users] CSW Harvester with xsl transformation

Dear all,

I’m using Geonetwork 3.0.5 in a tomcat. I try to harvet a CSW catalog and that works fine. However, I can’t configure it with a xsl transformation (the field remains empty and my settings is not saved).
I cannot find the information in the documentation… Is the xsl transformation supported for the CSW Harvester in this version ? If so, how to configure it ?

I figured this bug out too some times ago.
Could you try with the last release ?

First check that your XSL transformation is well saved into the harvester.
Then check it is applied, it should with last version.

Hi,

I am trying with Geonetwork 3.2.1 and facing the same issue.
I see the list of available xsl transformation (The .xsl files present in the geonetwork\xsl\conversion\import folder.) during the harvester configuration but when I save the config, the “xsl transformation” field is not saved and remains empty...

Any other hints ?

Hi,

I've seen this in the latest 3.2.x as well- you choose the transformation
from the drop down list and save the harvest configuration, but when you
return to this harvest node, it's not saved and the xsl transformation box
is blank.

Hi

In 3.2 should be fixed with this commit:
https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/commit/aee6950a00d304de1a067be3992255200b59673c,
I have tried in latest 3.2.x and works, but seem the fix was not backported
to 3.0.x

Hi,

Thanks for your answer Jose. After some more tries, I found out that the problems occurs on Chrome but does not on IE.
Another difference between Chrome and IE, I notice, is the fact that the settings page is not displayed correctly under Chrome.
Moreover, adding a new xsl file in the geonetwork\xsl\conversion\import folder is not taken directly into account in my browser, I have to close and open a new one to see the new transformation in the list of available transformation to apply.

In 3.2 should be fixed with this commit: https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/commit/aee6950a00d304de1a067be3992255200b59673c, I have tried in latest 3.2.x and works, but seem the fix was not backported to 3.0.x

I figured this bug out too some times ago.
Could you try with the last release ?

First check that your XSL transformation is well saved into the harvester.
Then check it is applied, it should with last version.
