[GeoNetwork-users] Customising the home page

Hi,

I'm using GeoNetwork 2.6.0 and I would like to customize the home page slightly to replace the paragraph about GeoNetwork ("GeoNetwork's purpose is: ...") with some html content (short mix of text, tables, pictures) about the project itself.
I found this page: http://classroom.oceanteacher.org/mod/page/view.php?id=961&inpopup=1 which explains how to change all text.
Can someone tell me the limits of the content I can edit in those xml files? Can I add any html in them to insert tables and pictures? Are there tags that will break something? I'd love to hear about the rules before I discover them the hard way...
Thanks,

Thomas.

hi Thomas,

it's XSLT, which is XML, which means you can add any HTML in them as long
as it is well-formed XML (so, use closing tags). If you include inline
Javascript you may have to escape things like <. To refer to the location
of images etc. you could see the image tags that are already there.

Kind regards
Heikki Doeleman
