I have downloaded several hundred metadata records as MEFs from GN2.10.4, generally consisting of metadata folder/record, info, large/small thumbnails, and data files.Into a new GN3.0.3/PostGIS installation, I am attempting to upload them as the same MEFs.Most upload fine, but a few dozen give me a 0X0 null character error; this is perfectly repeatable (log shows same error).I examine the metadata record (UTF-8 encoding) at the offending line using UltraEdit in hex mode, and I can see no error. The record validates externally against my ISO-19115/139/NAP schema using Kernow/Saxon.I have deleted the line and manually re-entered it – same error.I deleted the section surrounding the line and re-entered it – same error. In desperation, I simply attempted to upload the original metadata record from the original MEF, and it uploaded fine – so I have a work-around, but I would like to understand the root cause. My server environment is CentOS, GN3.0.3, Jetty and PostGIS.I temporarily placed a sample mef (8MB) at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4miysr5ckch1ho6/AAADv2V83WTFYlC_FDop_7PMa?dl=0.Could someone please attempt to load it into a GN3.xx and get back to me with result, or suggest why I am having problems?
