[GeoNetwork-users] Doubts about CSW and EML

Hi,
I'm a new using Geonetwork. I have some doubts after reading the
documentation:

- Geonetwork can harvest CSW services but.. Can Geonetwork create a CSW
service to be harvested for external tools (such as another Geonetwork)?
- Can Geonetwork import EML files?

I'd be interested in hearing some replies on this as well - esp. the EML question. I do know that I attempted to use an old eml schema with my GN2.10 version and it totally hosed it. Gave me an error that it could not find the template and nothing I tried allowed me to back out/recover. I finally had to have my systems guy create a new GN instance.

probably needs a migration to 3.x.

Gave me an error that it could not find the template and nothing I tried
allowed me to back out/recover. I finally had to have my systems guy

Sure see
http://geonetwork-opensource.org/manuals/trunk/eng/users/user-guide/harvesting/harvesting-csw.html.
Using GeoNetwork protocol for harvesting may be a better options (eg. to
retrieve uploaded files, categories, ...) but CSW will work also.
