[GeoNetwork-users] Download button

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the "download" button that appears when a
metadata tab has an associated file for download:

Now this "download" button only works when data has been uploaded at the
time of entry of the metadata information, and is stored in GN's file
structure (bunch of folders with consequential numerical labels).

However in our system we imported 200+ metadata tabs - all of which have a
link, or online resource, which goes to the respective downloadable data
file or zip in a web-accessible ftp folder.

GN's "download" button does not recognize that this IS downloadable data. So
the user would have to go through the metadata information, find the ftp
link and click it.

What I would like is for the download button to link to this ftp address
listed in the metadata.

Is this possible?

Do I have alternatives?

Thanks again -

Giuseppe
