[GeoNetwork-users] download protocol resources revert to localhost url

Greetings — We’re on GN 3.0.0, and our desired metadata template includes a number of downloadable resources, such as a link to the zipped shapefile or a .kml. Apparently, when we add a resource via the download protocol (to an ISO 19139 record; documentation here) or add a download protocol resource to a modified template, the linkage URL of the resource reverts to a localhost (http://localhost:8080/geonetwork/etc.) URL we did not specify.

If someone could provide clarification on adding downloadable resources (via a URL we specify for the resource), we’d appreciate.

Regards,

Jim P.

Hi Jim

Are these resources files uploaded with the metadata editor? (usually
these resources have a url containing this: resources.get?id=.....)

If so, the issue is that in your Administration Settings, the server name
and port are not updated, using the default ones. Please check to update
these fields.

If you have urls to external resources and are reverted to localhost, that
looks more a bug. In this case, please check to open a issue in GitHub.

Regards,
Jose García
