[GeoNetwork-users] drop down menu

Hi all,
Just a small question, which file and which part of the file needs it to
change the drop-down menu of homepage associated to the countries or
geographical searches. .This drop-down menu is connected with the thesaurus
Regions, what we must do to change the drop down menu? I have tried editing
the regions file however that does not seem to change what is displayed by
the menu.

Thank you for your answer

Chris

Hi Chris,

For us where the data are stored in Oracle, we were able to modify the contents of the regions menu by editing tables REGIONS and REGIONSDES.

There is a relation between these two files, where REGIONS stores the min/max coordinates of each region and where REGIONSDES stores the actual names that you see in the list.

If memory serves me correctly, after editing these tables (I just went into the database) we had to restart GN in order for those changes to be seen by GN.

Regards, Bob
