hi, i want to install Geonetwork on the server, which is windows 2003 64 bit. Because there is some important data on the server, i can not do it roughly. Can i do it?

Dear Ling,
you should be able to install geonetwork without problems.
Since geonetwork is developed in java and this being a platform
independent language, it does not matter on which virtual machine you
execute the code.
Also, there are 32 and 64bit JREs for windows 64, since 64bit CPUs can
also execute the old 32bit instructions.
Unless geonetwork uses libraries making use of JNI, which is not the
case AFAIK, there should thus be no issues.
It is always advisable though to make a backup before doing an update.
