[GeoNetwork-users] ESRI to ISO19139 tools

Hi,

I'm looking for a method of getting ESRI xml metadata into Geonetwork in
ISO19139 format.

Is anyone else looking at this and may have some advice on the way forward?

You could give the Spatial Data Integrator a try..

There have been other strategies posted on the list before as well.

Hope this helps and good luck.

As you may have seen, there's a conversion from ArcCat v8 & v9.0 ISO metadata into ISO19115:DIS. There is also a conversion from ISO19115:DIS into ISO19139 encoded metadata. So you could combine those XSLTs to convert ISO metadata created in the wizard of those versions of ArcCatalog.

I have to investigate what the current metadata format of ArcGIS 9.2 is to understand what is required.
Possibly it supports 19139 already!? In that case, the transformation could be done on the ArcCatalog side without problems.

What version of ArcGIS are you looking at?

Ciao,
Jeroen
