I have been asked to move a Geonetwork and Geoserver installation from one
server to another. I am trying to find the Geonetwork version. I can't even
find the installation folder as the documentation let to me is not accurate.
How do I find the version?

Did you have a look to the server.prop file into the WEB-INF forlder
(WEB-INF/server.prop)?
Cheers,

Thanks, is there any way of finding where the files are? I have looked under
/opt/tomcat-6 and in the html area but nothing.

Geonetwork's files could be literally anywhere e.g. I have them in my home
folder under "geonetwork", and tomcat only points to the "executables" via
configuration files in catalina/conf. Just do a ls -R|grep geonetwork, that
should be enough to find most directories and conf. files.
I think they are under the users folder, I just wasn;t sure if this was a
"proper" place to put them and if there might have been another location.
Unfortunately I have several pages of documentation, of which do not reflect
the locations of any of the files.
