Hi Annette:
Our dba suggests: If the sql setting DEFINE is set to "on" this should
not happen.

Subject: [GeoNetwork-users] Oracle data-db-oracle.sql variable error
whenexecuted in Toad (GN 2.6.4)
Hi,
When I execute the script to populate the database (data-db-oracle.sql
ver.
GN 2.6.4) in Toad I am prompted to enter values for variables. The
first
one time it occurs it refers to a GRAPHICS attribute.
I enter a string value, in the case I entered GRAPHICS, and the script
continues to run.
I think it occurs when trying to populate the following table:
INSERT INTO CategoriesDes VALUES (1,'en','Maps & graphics');
I get a prompted a few more times and enter similar string values.
Has this occured for anyone else before?
What is the best way to populate the Oracle database? Do most people
use
GAST?
I notice it is very slow to populate the database in comparison with SQL
Server or POSTGres but perhaps it's the way I'm executing the script.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Annette
