Hi,
did you change/modify server.xml or any other .xml to point to intermap?
Changed further port settings?
I recommend to upgrade to a newer version of java and tomcat.
best regards

Hi,
why did you not copied the 3 webapps or set context? Did you tried it
otherwise?
I don´t use linux, only windows.
Do you get the same error? What said the log files?
best regards

Sarah,
I'm not sure I understand what you are suggesting. I did a standard
install and tested it using Jetty and it worked fine. The following the
steps outlined in the tutorial I tried to get it to run with Apache and
Tomcat 5.5. Unfortunately now neither solution works and the logs are
blank since following the tutorial, so it would appear that nothing is
happening despite the fact that apache and tomcat are started and
appear to be functioning.

Hi Iren,
I would check connection url to mysql and mysql driver version.
I had no experience with mysql, only with postgres/postgis.
hope it helped a little.

Hi Trevor,
if geonetwork has started you have to see that in your log file from Tomcat (or Apache). But I don´t use Apache only Tomcat.
Can you access http://localhost/geonetwork or something familiar? What are your errors?
I read your other question here: http://n2.nabble.com/Ubuntu-9-04-Tomcat-5-5-Geonetwork-2-4-2-404-geonetwork-srv-en-main-home-was-not-found-on-this-server-td4464249.html#a4464249 but I don´t have a solution for this, sorry.
best regards
Sarah
