The release candidate is not a stable release yet. You are welcome to test and provide feedback of course. But please remember that the final, stable release is only due in about 6 weeks.
Release Candidate versions are for testing purposes only!!!

Thanks for your email. Yes, you can have an update of the planning.
Next week most of the core development team will meet face to face in Bolsena to do development work, discuss planning et cetera. One of the things we plan is to spend time on cleaning up the bug list on the Trac system. That should result in a release candidate that will be the last candidate before Final release. Final release should be made available about two weeks after the last Release Candidate.
It is critical that users are really testing the system on all different aspects and issue new tickets on the bug tracking system (see GeoNetwork opensource Developer website ) . You can do that if you have or create an account on the http://www.osgeo.org website.
We're all looking forward for a Final release, but we also decided to postpone the release until after our Bolsena meeting because of some issues we found in the current Release Candidates. Most have been solved now, but we want to close more of them still
