[GeoNetwork-users] Geonetwork Metadata Editor

Dear friends (Spanish below),

I am currently attending a metadata workshop in Colombia with participants from the Andean countries where we are teaching a future Latinamerican Metadata Profile of the ISO19115.

I was surprised today to find out that, when you open the Geonetwork metadata editor, all the element names are in English, even when selecting the Spanish language option on the top of the screen. Does anyone know of a Geonetwork implementation or version that can create metadata with a Spanish interface?

We might be recommending Geonetwork as a metadata editor and harverting tool to more than 40 South American agencies that participate in two major regional projects. However, it will facilitate things greatly if the metadata editor interface was in Spanish will all elements also in Spanish.

Regards,
