[GeoNetwork-users] Geonetwork + Postgresql

Dear Readers

I try to import a MEF into a postgresql db and I get back the message:
"You need to authenticate"

Well, I have created a db in postgresql named "geonetwork"

Then I have have defined the db in the GAST tool: DBMS Configuration
[DBMS: PosteSQL
Server: localhost
Port: 5432
Database: geonetwork
User Name: coast
Password: coast
]

I run the GAST tool: Database Setup (everything till now run ok)

When I try to Import the sample data I get the error message
"You need to authenticate"

Any help / suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I granted also
priviledges to the user in postresql

Dear Emmanuel,
You have to give a user/password combination that is valid for the GeoNetwork application itself, not the database user. So you could first try to use the administrator account (by default admin/admin ). Through the web interface you can create other users with at a minimum the editor profile in order to be allowed to import MEF files.
