I've installed GeoNetwork 2.8.0, JRE 7 and Apache-Tomcat 7.0 (in C:\). My machine is Win2003 Server EE (on virtual machine).
When I launch GeoNetwork ("start server") the following error occurs in the log:
2013-03-19 10:55:21,671 ERROR [org.jzkit.z3950.server.Z3950Listener] - Problem

at java.net.ServerSocket.accept(Unknown Source)
at org.jzkit.z3950.server.Z3950Listener.run(Z3950Listener.java:74)
And if I click on "Open GeoNetwotk Opensource" the following error message is shown:

Thanks in advance.

Hi albus,
If you installed GeoNetwork with Tomcat then you can't start it with the
script, you have to do it from the Tomcat admin page /manager/html.
If you haven't done so yet, you must create the
Catalina/localhost/geonetwork.xml file indicating the docBase.
Regards,
Luís

Hi Luis,
thanks for your help: now it works! I've also configured properly other parameters as shown here: http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/wiki/HowToRunUnderTomcat
Ciao!
