[GeoNetwork-users] GN 2.6.0: Thesaurus vocabulary in dropdown list for keywords?

Hello all,

we are looking for a possibility to have vocabulary from an external
thesaurus (for example GEMET.rdf) as a dropdown list for one of the
keyword-fields.

So far we have the rdf-files copied from the repository at
https://geonetwork.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/geonetwork/utilities/gemet/thesauri/
to our server.

We created the directories "INSPIRE" and "GEMET" by hand, because of the bug
in GeoNetwork 2.6.0 (http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/ticket/347).

[Advice given by somebody in this list was: "You could create theme,
discipline, temporal folders in
xml/codelist/thesaurus/external and xml/codelist/thesaurus/local and
refresh the thesaurus admin page."] This worked fine for us.

The administrator of GeoNetwork now can have a look on the rdf-thesaurus via
the administration panel "Manage thesauri". - So far everything is fine.

But:

Could somebody please give us some advice on how to use these thesauri? In
my opinion they are useless, if we cannot connect them to some field in the
panel for creating / capturing metadata.
How can we connect the thesauri to for example a keyword-field?

It should work like this: You start typing a word into the keyword-field and
in the background the thesauri looks for a possible word he knows. So the
letters you are typing are automatically added from the thesaurus. Finally
you have a complete word from the thesaurus.

Could somebody help us, please?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Anja
