[GeoNetwork-users] Harvesting from GN3 to GN2

Hi

One of my colleague is using GN 2.6.5 and I have GN 3.0.4 and he is trying
to get the data from my GN3 to his GN2.

What is the best way to harvest GN3 data to GN2 (GN3 > GN2)

Thanks, Hóddi

Hi

If you store files in the metadata, probably the best option would be to
try with GeoNetwork harvester so the harvester uses MEF format to include
related files. Otherwise CSW harvester should be fine.

I'm not sure which is the right one. I have tried some of the and get
errors. If I use CSW i just get one entry, but not metadata, just my
contact info!

Hi

About the GeoNetwork harvester is the one with version 2.1 (I think the
other one should be removed to avoid confusion).

About the CSW, have you used the* Catalog Services for the Web ISO Profile
2.0*? There's another OGC Web Services, but that harvests only the CSW
GetCapabilities and creates by default 1 metadata for the service. The
correct one to use is *Catalog Services for the Web ISO Profile 2.0*.

Jose García
