reachable for several weeks. Any technical problems? Have you changed
adress?

It's a known problem and I believe they're planning on a fix sometime in
the future that includes a new webpage or something.
For now you can use:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/geonetwork/
http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/
though they aren't as end-user oriented.
