A better approach is preventing access for users outside of your intranet. With Apache serving your Tomcat applications using jakarta you can add these lines to rour httpd.conf file of apache:
<Location /geonetwork/srv/es/user.login>
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from All
Allow from 192.168.1.0/24 #Intranet
Allow from 192.168.3.0/24 #Intranet
</Location>
Change 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.3.0/24 with your own intranet IP addresses.

Asunto: [GeoNetwork-users] How to hide 'Administration' menu??
Hi all,
I've changed privileges for registered user. Now he doesn't need
"Administration" menu.
How can I hide it, but only for user with privileges "Registered user"?? How
can I refer to users profile in xsl??
