[GeoNetwork-users] How to reset the admin password?

Deal all,

I am unable to log on with the admin account to a certain GeoNetwork
instance, but I do not recall ever changing the password. How can reset (or
change) the admin password without logging on to the web interface?

An option is to update the password column in the user table from the db
creation script
https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/blob/develop/web/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/classes/setup/sql/data/data-db-default.sql#L655(use
the one from the version you're using).

After restarting the service I am able to log on again. Hat tip <a href="
