is there a possiblity to change the imageformat from png to another one? I want to get from one Server the images in jpeg an from the other server in png.

Hi David,
No, there's not such an option now 
It's something that could potentially be passed from the client part, but is not implemented at that level (GUI) because it is involved from the user perspective (how many users will use it versus how many will be confused by it).
