Hi GeoNetwork listers,
The program committee for the 2009 North Carolina GIS Conference is trying to finalize its presentation lineup, and we have a track for which we are in search of a talk on metadata catalog applications. Geonetwork immediately came to mind as something we'd like to expose our GIS community to, but I've not had success with schedules aligning for the couple of people I knew of working with GeoNetwork. The ESRI Federal User Conference in DC chose the same conference dates we had already selected, and this unfortunate choice is wreaking some havoc on us with a number of potential speakers...
So, I thought I'd put this opportunity out on the listserv to see if there is anyone out there within driving distance of Raleigh, NC who has an instance of GeoNetwork in production operation (or a GeoNetwork developer) who would like to come visit us and give a talk at the NC GIS Conference on Feb 19/20, 2009.
Unfortunately, we're pretty much an all-volunteer conference, so there's no budget to pay for airline tickets - but there is also no conference registration fees for speakers. We expect to have somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 people.

Please email me directly and cc Jun Wu at the NC Department of Transportation ( jwu at ncdot dot gov ) at your earliest convenience, if you are interested.
Thanks in advance,
