Hi Everyone!
I'm installing GeoNetwork Opensource software on my server.
And I've got some problems with post-install configuration.
First, during installation process GeoNetwork wants to know proxy
configuration: proxy host and port.
But what about proxy user and password? Where can I configure this settings?
Without user name and password it's impossible to GeoNetwork to get
resources from Internet, I think.
Second, I want to publish my maps under GeoNetwork system. Do I need
MapServer installed? And, if yes,
how it should be configured to work properly with my GeoNetwork? There is no
complete manual about it's
installation with GeoNetwork, is not I'm right?
Thank You,
Igor V. Burago.

You cannot set proxy's account. The proxy feature has been added because
our friends from WFP needed it but their proxy did not require an account.
If someone else needs this feature we could consider to add it.

Yes, you need a map server. Regarding the iso19115/139 metadata format,
the map server information is stored as links inside the OnLineResource elements.

Andrea
Thank You,

We've added proxyUser and proxyPassword to GN Intermap 2.1 b5 for basic proxy authentication - haven't yet got NTLM proxy authentication working yet but hope to soon.

Hi Simon,
if you think you can commit the use of username/password then you can
do it (doing this, you will also have fewer code to be migrated to new
releases). The RC is planned by 18-22 of August.
Cheers,
Andrea
