Dear All,
I decided to go ahead and install GeoNetwork on my notebook. I downloaded
the latest Jar installer, however the installer seams to run in an infinite
loop after unpacking the files.
Is there anything I should do before installing? UAC is off and I do not
have any anti-virus on when installing the software.

I don't know what could be happening. I installed a Windows 10 VM image
from Microsoft web [1]. Then I've downloaded and installed OpenJDK 8 from
AdoptOpenJDK webpage [2]. Finally I've downloaded
geonetwork-install-3.10.1-0.jar from SourceForge and I double clicked it.
The installer has started and after selecting a target directory where I
have write permissions the installer has finished more or less
successfully. Last page of the installer is empty as you show in your
screenshot, but it has finished and you can click Quit or kill the
installer if it doesn't finish. The only thing missing are the shortcut
creation step.
If you go to the installation directory, then bin and run startup.bat
script GeoNetwork should start and you should be able to access it at
http://localhost:8080/geonetwork

Hi Juan,
I have accessed the bat file and the service seams to be running. The shortcuts are not installed though.
When I try to view the page in http://localhost:8080 Jetty returns some errors. I will open a new thread on this issue.
