[GeoNetwork-users] Is a "When" search in Time Extent possible with geonetwork 3.0.2.0?

Hi,

I'm using geonework 3.0.2.0 and can't seem to get the "When" search working correctly. It appears that the Time Extent of the meta data is never taken into account and only the changeDate is being searched.
Is it possible to make the search look at the Time Extent at all? What would be required to implement this from the user interface?

This is what I tried:

I imported the sample meta data:
Geographic information - Metadata (ISO/TS 19139:2007) ISO19139 metadata standard.

One of the records is the following:

Hydrological Basins in Africa (Sample record, please remove!)
With a Time Extent From 2006-01-01 until 2008-01-08
It has a changeDate of: "2007-11-06T12:13:00"

So doing some searches shows only changedDate is taken into account:

changedate in range:
http://localhost:8080/geonetwork/srv/eng/q?_content_type=json&dateFrom=2007-11-02&dateTo=2007-11-07&fast=index&from=1&sortBy=relevance&to=20

2 results.

dateTo is before changeDate:
http://localhost:8080/geonetwork/srv/eng/q?_content_type=json&dateFrom=2007-11-02&dateTo=2007-11-05&fast=index&from=1&sortBy=relevance&to=20

0 results.

dateFrom is after changeDate:
http://localhost:8080/geonetwork/srv/eng/q?_content_type=json&dateFrom=2007-11-07&dateTo=2007-11-08&fast=index&from=1&sortBy=relevance&to=20

Rudie.
