[GeoNetwork-users] Managment languages

Hello alls,
I'm new on this forum. I'm user of Geonetwork 2.0.3.
I have many questions about the Metadata administration.

First, I would know how I can to insert "Template" in page "Metadata
creation" because I don't have any template. I want to create a new metadata
but i don't have template.

Second, how I can to administrate metadata in two languages. I have a french
version about metadata but i want another version in english. MAybe there is
a tool about translation of contents.
I think we mustn't translate contents in french and in english. It's right?

Thank you for your help
Arnod

Welcome.

I suggest you read the quick start guide. Did you insert the sample metadata? In GN version 2.0 that will also insert the templates.

Second, how I can to administrate metadata in two languages. I have a french

Yes, you should create two separate metadata entries for that, one in English, one in French. We are discussing how to handle multi lingual metadata in the future, but there's no such facility yet.

Ciao,
Jeroen

Hello,

I saw this "Quick guide " but I haven't got any template in my GN.
I have metadata in my GN. Now I want to insert new metadata with a template.
I don't know where I can to insert files in order to have one template....
Can I have to found one template ISO 19115 and to insert in a file of GN?
Do you have information about this?

Thank you.
Arnod.
