[GeoNetwork-users] Metadata import

Dear all,
I have a question regarding metadata. I would like to test Geonetwork for a set of resources which are domain specific and not necessarily Geospatial resources. In the field I am working, we have defined our own metadata which is not based on any ISO but developed according to ebRIM. I have for all resource the metadata in xml format.Hence, the existing metadata used in Geonework and as part of CSW is not sufficient and I have many other attributes which are necessary to have in that domain.
Now, my question is, is there any way in GN to import a metadata which is not compatible with any of ISO 19115 / 19119 / 19135 and DCMD and . If yes, could you please help me on how can this be done in the fasted way (atm we are in demo mode of project so just need to show that this idea works).
Best regardsMani

Hi

GeoNetwork uses metadata schemas to deal with different metadata formats,
some of them are bundled in GeoNetwork like iso19139 and iso19110 and
others are available in external repositories like
https://github.com/metadata101.

There's no schema for ebRim in GeoNetwork, if your metadata is in that
format and it's not an option to convert it to is19139 for example, you
need to develop a schema. Documentation about this can be found here:
https://geonetwork-opensource.org/manuals/3.4.x/en/customizing-application/
implementing-a-schema-plugin.html
