[GeoNetwork-users] New Community website live

Hi all,
I'm happy to announce that an updated version of the GeoNetwork opensource Community website is now live at http://geonetwork-opensource.org . The site is hosted at Telascience and was established with the great help of John Graham (thanks John!!).

The site has some new functionality, for instance to allow online translation of content into multiple languages. You are welcome to help out and add and/or translate content

You can also save content in the form of a pdf file. We removed the member folder option as it was not used and also provided a place for unwanted spam on the site.

We were unable to move the existing accounts, so if you want to provide content you will have to create a (new) account on the site. I can than enable you to add/edit specific parts of the website.

Another change, that is not yet fully reflected in the content, is that the site should now focus on users and not on software developers. Software developers are supported through the new TRAC site that includes a tracker and a WIKI. Eventually we may also move the Subversion there to benefit of the TRAC - SVN integration.

The developer site is hosted at GeoNetwork opensource Developer website

Enjoy!
Jeroen

Hi,

I just wanted to know if GN supports scaling and if so... how it manages to
do it (i.e. using properties). I have been looking around the code but I
have got no luck finding any.
