[GeoNetwork-users] Not attempting to authenticate "Administrators" using ldap

Kind of a wierd problem here.

I'm running 2.6.4 with the LDAP enhancements I posted to github earlier
(non-anonymous bind, and subtree scope search). Everything works fine until
I assign a user the Administrator role. Once a user is known to be an
administrator, LDAP is no longer consulted when the user tries to login
(I'm watching the logs on my LDAP server, and when an administrator logs
into the web interface there's no activity. If I edit that same user in the
web interface to assign them "Registered User", then my LDAP server logs a
connection when the user tries to login to the web interface.)

I suppose I can just use the local geonetwork "admin" account for
administration, but it would be nice to be able to just stay in my own
account.

Any ideas?

Bryce

Hi Bryce,

I believe the admin is independent of the ldap, that's how they have it.
I have the same thing and the admin is local to geonetwork authentication.

All other profiles can be authenticated against an LDAP directory "Reviewer"
"Editor" "RegisteredUser" but I cannot configure "UserAdmin" profile, a User
Administrator not an outright :Administrator". When geonetwork is configured
for LDAP, login admin and the other 3 profile work but not the "User
Administrator".

In I have been trying, in the config.xsl they have it commented out as one
of the choices, It has to work some how? does it for you?

Sam
