[GeoNetwork-users] opensearch interface

hello,
does someone use the opensearch (georss) interface? which kind of filter can
be defined? is there a documentation howto do spatial filtering? i think i
need some examples.
thanks and greetings

The opensearch protocol is using the rss.search service in GeoNetwork.
rss.search?any={searchTerms}&bbox={geo:box?}

Here is the draft spec.

hello francois,

thanks. i have some other questions:
is it possible to define the fields to be searched? in germany we use a
central catalogue for all environmental data (http://www.portalu.de). they
have an opensearch interface where you can define the topology of catalogues
as standard get parameters. you can define which harvested catalogue entries
should be in the response. on the other hand you can define filters on
different entries like categories and so on. i think is would be a good idea
if geonetwork would do a similar approach.
is there a possibility to do the search in the different search fields that
INSPIRE demands (over opensearch protocoll - not csw)?

thanks
armin

I guess it depends on the client. I only used firefox opensearch link to
do full text search. But you could use other search fields define in
Lucene index (any, themekey, title, abstract, ...)
