[GeoNetwork-users] postgis driver

Dear all,

I set up a fresh geonetwork on a unbuntu server 12.04.
Geonetwork 2.10.3, runs in tomcat6, is a war version.
I set up a postgresql-postgis database both for storing metadata
and for managing spatial index. (postgresql vs 9.1.19 and postgis 2).

In config.xml I set postgis driver:
<!-- postgresql --><!-- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - --><resource enabled="true"><name>main-db</name><provider>jeeves.resources.dbms.ApacheDBCPool</provider><config><user>my_user</user><password>my_password</password><!-- we use org.postgis.DriverWrapper in place of
        org.postgresql.Driver to support both postgresql and postgis --><driver>org.postgresql.Driver</driver><!--<driver>org.postgis.DriverWrapper</driver>--><!--
          jdbc:postgresql:database
          jdbc:postgresql://host/database
          jdbc:postgresql://host:port/database

          or if you are using postgis and want the spatial index loaded
          into postgis

          jdbc:postgresql_postGIS://host:port/database

        --><url>jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/geonetwork</url><poolSize>10</poolSize><!-- <reconnectTime>3600</reconnectTime> --><validationQuery>SELECT 1</validationQuery></config></resource>
But using postgis.DriverWrapper seems doesn't work.

Thank you in advance

Eugenio

Hi to all

Not certain if someone replied to you, but anyway

I had the same problem but in may case was a mistake on the class name
:(, and therefore I stumbled into your email.

In your example the <url> is not correct (at least what I understand of
the system), this is what I use:

<url>jdbc:postgresql_postGIS://127.0.0.1:5432/geonetwork</url>

See the complete XML section here:

Subversion Kills Productivity. Get off Subversion & Make the Move to Perforce.
With Perforce, you get hassle-free workflows. Merge that actually works.
Faster operations. Version large binaries. Built-in WAN optimization and the
freedom to use Git, Perforce or both. Make the move to Perforce.
