[GeoNetwork-users] Preventing the publishing of invalid records

Hi List,

I'm trying to understand if there's a way of preventing the publishing of
invalid records, in either Geonetwork 2.10 or 3.x. At present it seems to
be possible (in Geonetwork 3) to click the "publish" button on any record,
regardless of validity. I would really like this option to be disabled if
the record is not valid. Is this possible?

Hi Jose,

Do you have any idea how complex this work would be? We could potentially
look at funding it but would need to understand how much work would be
involved (and who we could work with to get it implemented). Is it worth
adding as a feature request in GitHub?

Hi Jo

If you only require to disable the button depending on the validation
status, I guess should not be too much work as afaik the validation status
is stored for each metadata. It's a good option to create a feature request
in GitHub.

For a project in 2.10 we have develop a quite advanced workflow with
several revision/validation levels and have plans to integrate it in GN
3.0, but will take some months, so probably not an option if you require
this soon.
