Dear Girum Asrat,
Changes you've made in the database is correct, but to perform
searches GeoNetwork caches metadata. Of course, this cache is updated
every time you change a metadata properties using web interface of
GeoNetwork itself, but not when you change database behind it. To
force metadata cache to be updated you can stop GeoNetwork (or Tomcat
as a whole), delete cache files located in
'web/geonetwork/WEB-INF/lucene' subfolder of GeoNetworks's directory
and start web service again.
