I have a little problem with the privileges setting on the release 2.1 :
-When i put the authorization to the group all or intranet to a metadata is
is impossible to clear the authorizations.
The button clear work well, but when you submit and come back to the
privilege the authorizations are always set !
So for the moment, i query in sql to delete the authorization like :
delete from operationallowed where groupid=1 or groupid=0
Its work but it is not very convenient
-When groups all and internet haven't got any authorization, why guest
logout can they see the abstract and keyword of the metadata ?
-Why can they see the featured map ?
Is it normal ?
For me :
Publish : Authorization to see it on the search on read the metadata
Download : Get the data linked
Interactive Map : Use the interactive map linked
Featured : Put the metadata on the home page ?
Notify : Used for the Reviewer ? i don't know ?
I tried both Firefox2/linux, IE6/WinXP and I was unable to replicate your bugs.
I used a Linux server for geonetwork.
Cheers,
Andrea

I use Ubuntu-feisty with tomcat '5.0', java '1.5.0.11'
And Firefox/2.0.0.6
The problem occur only with the authorization for the group āAllā and
āIntranetā and only when i try to delete the authorization for those groups.
And i see something interesting : That occur only when i am connected as
administrator !
With the Reviewer profile it work well as example !
(The metadata was create with the administrator user maybe it's important)
The step i do to see the bug is :
Connecting with administrator user.
Creating metadata, save and close
Setting all privilege to the group āallā and submit
Come back to editing automatically
Clear all privilege to the group all and submit
Come back editing automatically
Come back the privilege
Here the privilege to the group all are remaining actives !
Thank you,

I also noticed this issue as I tried to migrate my metadata to 2.1.
I am thinking that I am not following a good procedure when I as an
Administator create metadata. Should Editors (and not Administrators) be
the only ones creating metadata?

from a technical point of view, administrators can edit metadata as will.
