[GeoNetwork-users] Profile naming (misleading)

I was testing geonetworks 2.6.4 and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who
misunderstood the profiles.

The options for the profiles are
    Administrator
    User administrator
    Content reviewer
    Editor
    Registered user

Of this list, I find there are 2 names that seems a little misleading.

1 - In my mind a "Content reviewer" sounds like someone who would only have
read access to special content and have less privileges than an Editor. But
after testing and re-reading the documentation, it seems like they have all
the power of an Editor + plus they can publish content.
If I'm understanding this correctly, I would like to recommend that the
"Content Reviewer" name be changed to "Content Manager" (or maybe even
"Publisher") as this seems to be better wording to explain the profile.

2 - The "User administrator" to me sounded like it was similar to the
Administrator account but would only allow the user managements. But I later
found out that the profile only allows the managing or the users for the
groups that they belong to - Plus it seems they have all the capabilities of
an editor.
So, I would suggest that the name of this group be changed to "Group
Manager" or "Group Administrator" since it is really for administering all
content and users that belong to a group.

Does anyone else agree?

Ian,

I agree with you that the profile names are not clear at once. It took a while before we understood what was possible with each profile. The suggested profile names (Content Manager and Group Manager) seem to fit better.

Kind regards,
