Dear Geonetwork list..
I installed geonetwork meta data first with the original jetty/db configuration and changed it now so it runs on a ubuntu - apache2- tomcat - postgis environment following the tutorial by Heikki and Jose (feedback already provided to them on the glitches). Everything seems to work fine, except that now the bluemarble background does not appear in the map window on the left side (as well as in the map interface). if i search for a country it appears for a second, and afterwards it's gone again and only the general background color is shown. Someone has expirienced something similar ? I apologize for such a unprecise question, having looked into the log files and did not find anything unusall (except the save jave preference error which I beliegv should be unretaed to such behaviuor, which i'm currently working on to get that fixed)

Hi Hannes
Did you checked in geonetwork/WEB-INF/config-gui.xml the map layers url's?
By default, assume that GeoServer is running in localhost 8080 port.

Jose GarcĂa
