[GeoNetwork-users] Request to join the PSC

Hi Geonetwork Users and Developers,

I'd like to request to join the Project Steering Committee. As Astun we're
responsible for some major Geonetwork deployments, and have been working to
get the Gemini 2.2 Metadata profile fully supported in Geonetwork 3.0
onwards. We're really keen to assist as much as we can, and if possible to
help with the governance of the project.

While I personally can't contribute a great deal as a coder, I would like
to contribute to the PSC as a high-level user. I have some ideas about how
the Geonetwork community could become more involved in, for example, the
documentation. I'm also keen to help with release testing.

Thanks

Jo

Hi Jo

+1 for me, I think having a PSC member that contributes as a high level
user can be great to enhance the functionality and usability of GeoNetwork.

Currently most of the PSC members are also the core developers. Would be
good to have other profiles that with a different view for the project.

Jose García

Hi Jo, also +1 for me. You always provided good contribution with care to

will also help making better ones.

Hi All,

I'm just following up my request to join the Geonetwork PSC- I got a few +1
votes, for which I'm very grateful, but is there more I need to do?

If my request is accepted perhaps my first job should be to expand the
documentation on how the joining procedure works

Thanks

Jo

Hi Jo,

+1 for me.

Since most of the PSC members are devs, having also the point of view of a
power user that has already contributed to the project is welcome.

I guess we should also vote about raising the PSC members to 8 then

   Cheers,
   Emanuele
