Sorry for this late response but I am from Brazil and I know some sites wich have geonetwork translated to Brazilian Portuguese.
Maybe you can contact them.
The sites are http://mapas.mma.gov.br/geonetwork/ and www2.sipam.gov.br/geonetwork/
People at MMA are nice and would give the translation if you ask but I think they use 2.0.0 version.
