[GeoNetwork-users] Spatial Reference System of the Intermapviewer

Hi everybody,

how can I change the Spatial Reference System of the Intermap viewer so that my interactive map is displayed in SRS = 31467?
The GeoServer SRS is correctly defined in the FeatureType editor and is displayed correctly when I choose the Map Preview on the Demo page of GeoServer.
Only in GeoNetwork / Intermap it seems to me my geographic data is projected in WGS84.

Thanx a lot for any advice,

Albert

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that intermap is not aware of projection systems other than WGS84. It assumes that everything is WGS84, even if it is not.

If you need to display it in that SRS, you will need to use another client (e.g. OpenLayers, MapFish, etc)

That's right. The WMS specification mandates the support of WGS84. For a generic client that should be able to operate on WMS's from all over the place that choice is thus a safe option. That justifies the choice not to worry to much about the SRS  . You can indeed integrate other clients if you require support for projections.
