[GeoNetwork-users] Transaction Insert request generates authentication exception

Hi,
I am testing external CS/W client on CS/W server of geonetwork 2.4 rc2.
When i post the xml embedded in transaction/insert, server generates
- <ows:ExceptionReport xmlns:ows="http://www.opengis.net/ows&quot;
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance&quot; version="1.0.0"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.opengis.net/ows
http://schemas.opengis.net/ows/1.0.0/owsExceptionReport.xsd&quot;&gt;
- <ows:Exception exceptionCode="NoApplicableCode">
  <ows:ExceptionText>Cannot process transaction: User not
authenticated.</ows:ExceptionText>
  </ows:Exception>
  </ows:ExceptionReport>

althought i am using admin login for this operation. I presume that there is
a configuration that i am missing to allow external request.
Any idea for publishing metadata from external client using csw

Hello, for example using JS, the following example could be used to
login and run the transaction :
http://geonetwork.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/geonetwork/trunk/web/geonetwork/scripts/test-csw.js?r1=2726&r2=4898&pathrev=4898
