[GeoNetwork-users] uploadDir

Hello. What is the role of uploadDir in config.xml (compared with dataDir,
to which the data seems to go)? It is like ../../data/tmp by default. Not
sure what is the reference. Can it in Windows environment be located
anywhere? If so, how should it be referred to from config.xml? With "/" or
"\\" slashes? We're using Tomcat and PostGIS database. If uploadDir is just
temporary, the location seems not so optimal for temporary large files...

Arto

Hi Arto,

AFAIR when you are using the metadata import feature or uploading thumbnails or data files in a metadata record (ISO19139 record -> distribution info) the data will first go there.

Don't have experience about Windows, but in a Linux environment it must be read/writeable by Tomcat.

Cheers,
    Michael
